One morning when I woke up I found my broken reading-glasses on the floor. After a few moments of confusion, I regained my composure when I recalled that I had my other graduated glasses: my swimming goggles.
In Intensamente azules, his fifth production as a director, the dramatist and academic-elect, Juan Mayorga, proposes a story of "biographic origin" that moves between imagination, dreams and reality. This work is based on an absurd metaphor, the fascinating adventure of daring to look at the world as if it were for the first time; it is about how we perceive ourselves and how we perceive others.
It was a re-encounter with the actor, César Sarachu, whom Mayorga directed in Reykjavik that persuaded the playwright to turn this story into a stage production, a play endowed with large doses of humour and poetry and a plea regarding the order and disorder of things and the way in which we regard our small daily world.
